The Challenge

Imbabala Safari Lodge required a complete aluminium and glass fitout for a high-end hospitality development. The specification needed to match the lodge's premium positioning; every visible surface, every door, every balustrade had to communicate quality to guests paying premium rates. The project involved multiple installation types, complex scheduling, and a site that could not be left mid-completion.

The Solution

MAGlass delivered the full scope, shopfront, windows, sliding and folding doors, and glass balustrade, under a single project contract. In-house fabrication meant every component was made to the same specification and arrived on site in a coordinated manner, not piecemeal. Our installation team worked sequentially through the specification, ensuring each system was fitted and inspected before moving to the next.

The Result

A completed commercial fitout valued at R3,650,000, delivered to specification and ready for the client's interior fit-out team to proceed on schedule. Every installed system passed inspection. The lodge opened on programme.

Upgrading a Working Hotel Without Stopping Business

The Challenge

An occupied hotel cannot stop operating for a refurbishment. The Hilton upgrade required a complete strip-out and replacement of aged aluminium and glass systems across an actively trading property. Installation had to proceed in phases, with minimal noise and disruption to guests, strict site protection protocols, and a schedule that aligned to room availability rather than contractor convenience.

The Solution

We phased the installation around the hotel's occupancy schedule, working floor by floor and section by section. Disposal of the old aluminium and glass was handled on-site. Each section was completed, sealed, and inspected before we moved to the next. No section was left open or unfinished overnight.

The Result

A R2,700,000 refurbishment was completed without a single guest complaint attributed to the installation. The hotel operations team confirmed the programme was maintained throughout. All replaced systems passed inspection on the first walkthrough.

The Challenge

Residential developments require consistency. Every unit in the development must receive the same specification, the same installation quality, and the same finish, because the developer's reputation is at stake with each one. A single sub-standard unit generates complaints that affect the entire development's sellability.

The Solution

We fabricated all components for the full development at the same time, from the same material batches, to ensure colour consistency and dimensional uniformity across every unit. Installation was sequenced to suit the developer's handover schedule, completed units first, remaining units on programme.

The Result

All units were handed over to specification. Zero remedial work required post-handover. The development's purchasers received consistent installations that matched the specifications in the sale agreement.

Additional Completed Work

Commercial Shopfront

Value: R330,000

Full retail shopfront installation including aluminium curtain wall, entrance system, and signage support framework. Completed the programme for tenant fit-out.

Private Residence

Value: R260,000

Complete residential renovation including window replacement, new aluminium sliding doors to the entertainment area, and glass balustrade to the first-floor balcony. The homeowner was midway through the renovation when their previous installer failed to deliver. We completed the project on time.
